Swallow, my flying guest

I have a few regular guests that spend their night in my house. Most of the times they come in pair, sometimes there are three of them. My son says the third is their kid. It may be so.

They usually check in at around seven in the evening and leave either for a living or wandering around as early as seven in the morning. They may be forced to wake up so early by the noises when my wife is ready to leave for school.

There are bushes and rice fields nearby, they do not need to worry about flying a far distance to search for food. Then this tiny little corner, though not really five-star rated, serves the best place for them to have a long night rest.

A close up view seeing them turn their head towards me. Suspicious. Cautious. Almost all the animals always keep their precaution against the curiosity of human. Wary. One more flash or one more movement and they will flap their wings furiously and fly away.

Do not be fooled by their sleepy eyes, they get energised as fast as a Ferrari, they will simply lose in sight within seconds.

Their stay is always free of charge, but I would like to ask for some clean-up fees if they don't mind.

Maybe they want to be your pets. My sister has a pet bird, but she had to pay a lot of money for it, and it would probably fly away if she opened it's cage. Your birds must like you much more than her birds like her, because yours come back and they need no cage. At least they're not monkeys or squirrels. :)

Hard to tell but they do look like swallows of some kind. I loved the barn swallows we had at the old homestead. (we left a window open in the barn just for them) They'd dive bomb the cats and make them do back flips. But as you noticed they do make a mess.

Rainfield I think your guests may be Swifts. Very similar to some I have seen in caves in Borneo.
Whatever they should clean up after their stay!

Are they barn swallows?

Sometimes the best refuge is ironicly the modern civilisation. The human architecture are more secure to be built a home

Ratty: To have pet birds in a open space is not bad an idea. They do not need to be fed. So nice.

WiseAcre: Checked around. They look similar to barn swallows. Very interesting: learn further from feedback.

Mike: I believe they more belong to barn swallows than swifts after some comparison in pictures. No matter how, I'll charge them cleaning up fees.

betchai: What a similar Asian thinking. Scientifically, the place where birds can stay is sure safe for us to stay as well.

roentarre: Hopefully they'll build some birds' nest for me in return. Hahaha...

I would also like for clean up fees too if I'm in that situation! What an enjoyable post :-)

The Retired One: At least, they won't knocked against the window glass that required the treatment of a retired nurse. Ha Ha Ha...
