A Plot

A film would play whether people are watching or not; this seemed right to a thin long snake far atop a tree. Its story continued when my macro lens was in action.

The effect, I know, would not be magnetic as the pictures taken were heavily cropped, though a mosquito was involved later.

But this would be dramatic if the bent proboscis of the mosquito could be visible, (ah, biting a wrong target) and best used by a storyteller.

It presence was never felt somehow, otherwise the snake would be sorry for being born without a pair of hands.

We Are Connected

We are all connected somehow, when time is right.

When I go hiking; the mushrooms and me.

When I blog about pictures of mushrooms. You, and me.

These mushrooms are mostly as tiny as a finger nail, but are mighty as if we are talking about Rowan Atkinson, or Angelina Jolie.

Mushrooms, me, and you, the power to create smiles, and to express love.

Light and Shadow, and Chameleon

It was interesting to find the chameleon still staying at the same place doing the same pose when I was back. It must have done nothing except sticking out its tongue, like Einstein did, repeatedly, to catch its preys. That was its life.

All in only one sentence.

This fellow went missing after I had done my hiking and a few shots of light and shadow. Although only a few feet away, I took quite a time to locate it. The chameleon was still so cool while I was bowing with a DSLR at head level.

Though it had no deadlines to meet, no hiking to enjoy, and  never experienced that excitement in capturing light and shadow permanently, when it rolled its black round eyeball back and forth to follow me this time, I knew I should have thought it deserved more than a sentence.

A Chameleon Changes

I found a low-profile chameleon this morning. It stayed very still, quiet and almost remained unnoticed.
It was brownish, but I preferred the green colour in the last meeting six months ago.

I moved my camera again and again to change the background, hoping the chameleon would change to fit into these surroundings.

My desire changed nothing.
But everything under the sun always changes. From living in the vast wilderness it is now appearing in a square and a couple of rectangular virtual worlds.

How cool it is to see such a change.

Penang Cultural and Heritage Celebration (3)

Today is a gift.

We were gifted to go back to the old Shanghai, with the newest and coolest camera gadgets.

We were gifted in such a way to shuttle between the romance of the olden days and the excitement of Chingay performance, just within minutes.

So I looked around. Looking carefully for the extra-ordinary gadgets around me, and looking for the people for what they chatted and acted did not belong to the present moment. Someone must have come back from the future.

For the future is gifted in the same manner in its time as well.
