Penang Cultural & Heritage Celebration (2)

I am interested in capturing the moment east and west saw each other face to face, my camera but then hesitated to flash at that split second.

The moment was history.

Every moment will be history, and an eternity, and the past always meets with the present infinitely.

Every of these moments happened in a night festival.

Penang Cultural & Heritage Celebration (1)

I asked Cerok Tokun to make way for Penang Cultural & Heritage Celebration for this and another two coming posts. The later was organized in conjunction with Chinese New Year, 2013.

Streets around the George Town heritage enclave which were dazzlingly beautiful attracted both the local and foreign visitors and photographers.

You might not be one of them this time, it will never be too late for the next year.

Green Birds

I like to ponder over an apple. Sir Isaac Newton got inspired by a falling one, and Steve Jobs by a bite on it. I believe I can, when time is right.

My mother led me to her little garden during this New Year. I saw many little flowers, but she was so joyful to show me her little green birds.

My mother is eighty-four. She was a babysitter at the age of seven, and managed only to pass by many schools everyday. She does not know an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

She too never know her fifty two-years old son is trying his chance with an apple, while her green birds are ready to fly.

Happy Chinese New Year

Songs of a grasshopper noisily occupied my garden in the nights. Taking a  chance I looked around before leaving for Cerok Tokun on last Sunday morning; it had been exercising its natural rights to the fullest.

It came to a complete silence yesterday, this piqued my curiosity for an answer again.

Spring is coming, that marked its return to the fable as a character of decades, to carry a mandolin and continue singing, and to continue exercising the natural rights in the warmer months.

Yes, spring is coming. In the lines in the fable this reads, "Happy Chinese New Year to everyone."

Inspired

As far as we permit ourselves to open up our eyes now and then, the eternal story-telling will continue.

That is why a spider develops eight eyes so to see more, and to reproduce these exuberant stories that blend together past and present, and that connect imagination and reality in the form of a magical web.

Some of us then interpret it in a distance, others as a mythbuster would have an in-depth experience by going into it. That is how I who have five eyes stay inspired between being creative or acting like the biggest idiot on earth.

My five eyes: another two from a pair of spectacles and one from the DSLR.
