Butterflies do need to eat

We know our eating habits, but it is much more interesting to know the way butterflies take their meal.

The first picture shows how satisfied the butterfly was with its sweet meal. It looked quite relaxing and enjoying in front of my camera.

The second preferred to have it on the reverse way, thus keeping its close watch towards the open space, kind of precaution to the surroundings and uneasiness on my presence.

I had eye contact with this little creature and said a friendly hello, but this failed to comfort it. Anyhow, it is very funny to look through its eyes for its inner world.

The last two butterflies believed in the principle that eating come first thus my presence was hidden behind their back. They might not care as well.

What beautiful creatures!
You will have to look up Luna Moths.
They are gorgeous and are born without mouths to eat. They only live 24 hours with their main goal to mate and then they die. They come out at night (thus their name: Luna). They are beautiful too and so sad that they only live one day!

I am really enjoying your butterfly posts. Showing them while they are eating is a very interesting thing to do. Not many people would have thought about things that well.

Wow! How did you get such great pix? And of course the colors in the wings are really wonderful. I am longing for a warm day. We are back to a frigid, nasty wind here.
