Close up look at SJ

I revisited SJ this evening after the last visit one week ago. There is a request from The Retired One for a close up on "Malaysian Cherry". One week to us is a small fraction of time, but it is a life time to these flowers. I saw almost all of them have returned to their origin, some were still fresh, some were rotten over time on the ground.

By the way, some were still waiting for me in order not to disappoint my friend. Although look aged and tired, they managed to pose for some shoots in the wind.

They were as weak as a piece of tissue paper. They were too far up for a good close up using macro view and shaky hand. They have tried their last best before going back to eternity. And they were so kind enough to introduce their neighbour to me.

Hope that you like them as well.

You sweetie..you did it..you got a close-up of some on their last breaths...thank you for indulging me. I can almost smell their fragrance from upper Michigan. I like the white one, too...that looked all wrinkled...there is beauty at the end of something's life, no?

Not bad images for a shaky hand! Wish I could keep mine still on occasions.

Great closeup shots of the blossoms. It's good to see what they look like in such detail.

It's always interesting how such beauty lasts for such a short time. I have a climbing rose that I hate and threaten to rip out for 51 weeks of the year, and admire it greatly the other one week.

Fantastic images and it is well worth the visit

The flowers do look like tissue paper!

Maybe it's a bit sad to see the fallen blossoms but it's so much better than seeing falling snow.

I'm glad you got back before they all faded away. The first photos of the blooming shrubs were nice and the close ups even better.

The Retired One: It is my pleasure to delight my friend. But thinking about end of something's life, it is hard and too sad for me to link to beauty.

Mike: Shaky hand to fight against breeze may equal to -ve x -ve = +ve.

Ratty: Or Mr Nutz, thank you.

Sharkbytes: May be the rule of thumb is that beaty = 1 week?

Roentarre: Flowers made from tissue papers would not last long, same as flowers that look like tissue paper.

WiseAcre: You get me cracking my head again; I have the feel on fallen flowers, but how to feel falling snow?
