Blue-throated Bee-eater

I had another lifer of the day when the corner of my eye triggered again. My normal eyes then took over and followed through until it stopped by a branch.

I could see it clearly, but due to incorrect background lighting so you cannot. It has a bright blue throat, chestnut head and upper back, black eye stripe and bluish tail feathers. It is confirmed as a blue-throated bee-eater.

Two formed a happy and lovely couple. But two could never increase my chances of getting decent pictures since the setting was still not right. I tried to move around but this would not help.

Only when the bird perched on a proper place then you are now able to see it clearly. We need support to achieve our objective. Tell me then how to achieve a consensus with those birds in the wild.

Any idea from you?

Birds seem to enjoy perching directly between photographers and the sun. Nice that you were able to capture those amazing colors on the bee-eating bird.

I still can see it, and it's beautiful..I can totally relate to the background and lighting when they don't cooperate..

A beautiful pair of birds! And thanks for pointing out the heart I missed on my post, on the red-winged blackbird. I went back and voila! You are indeed very observant!

It's tough but I did see their silhouettes. (1 birdie in the 1st pic and 2 birdies in the 2nd pic)

Beautiful bird and great captures Rain! It's a wonder you spotted it amidst that kinda dimly lit background.

I believe patience and stroke of blessings are needed to take good picture of a bird.

Birds perched at fruiting tree, so this are fruit eater.
You need a bee at its beak to call this a bee-eater. ;)

Mike:
We have it a consensus of opinion, but I failed to have it with most the birds. I have to talk like a bird.

Ginnymo:
Thanks. Happy Sunday.

Kirigalpoththa:
I wonder how nice the bird is. Is it because it gave me a good pose?

Eng:
A name is just a name. A blue-throated Bee-eat is still a bird without that name.

Happy Sunday, betchai.

Diane/Icy:
Birds always know the tricks. We always want to be tricked.

Bengbeng:
Yes, it is indeed...

Cheryl:
You have made me looking for heart-shaped stones along my hiking trail. Am still looking for....

Harumi/VanillaSeven:
How to describe the relationship between birds and human? They play the tricks, and we follow through and declare finally that we enjoy the game very much.

George:
I am a dumb expert though I'm very much enjoying my photographs too.

Tabib:
If I can, I'll photoshop a bee at its beak.

Ayie:
Happy weekend. Enjoy your day with my bird talk.

I can see your Blue Throated Bee -eater. And it is a beautiful bird. I would love to see the birds perched in just the right spot for me to take their photos. But they are not always co-operative. But, I am happy to see them thoug.

I too have a hard time trying to get bird pictures when the sky is the background. The bird turned out to be very beautiful when it flew down to the right place.

If you want the birds to come to you, just cover yourself in peanut butter and birdseed. :D
