Following the Bees

Following the bees was not an easy task since they made me too busy as well and having the need to fly around, but they did lead me to some wonderful places and show me some fantastic poses.

Sometimes, it showed the funniest posture that can never explain its name quite precisely. We met face-to-face, it looked strange to me, and how am I to him?

I had another question still unanswered. They flew from one flower to another, and back to former again, left, and came back, and was continued. Why can't they stay for the same flower until the job was done?

I met a brown caterpillar over here. This was visible, many were not, and I do not mean only caterpillars.

Many others were still hiding in the bushes, or in the forest.

After reading your post, I did some investigation. A female bee has something called "pollen basket". Maybe it's full and she has to go back to get some more to continue the cross pollination??? To the bee, you must be a giant with a big eye. :)

You got some great pictures of these guys. I especially like those two with them in the air.

Uh..i guess the bees were surveying or mapping the flowers so that it will be easier for them to revisit the flowers.

the second picture is simply amazing, the bees in flight! You are such a very patient and keen person.

ah, the forest nurtures and displays its creatures, big or small, to those patient enough to know where to look!

It is not easy to shoot insect or bird on the fly. One of the winner in Canon photomarathon this year Singapore managed to captured the bee close up facing the camera in the high speed.

You got a great picture of the bee looking at you. Do you think he got a picture of you looking at him?

Salitype: I have to be patient on the hiking before the peak, I have to be patient before the bees say goodbye to me. Just be patient.

VanillaSeven: I wish I could have a micro lens in future for my better close up pictures.

George: Their little brains must have recorded down my face. They will say hello to me when I rturn.

I have never thought of following the bees. I normally stay away when I see one. Don't want to get stung.

Photographing a bee in a flower would be a bonus though. But that would be hard as the creature is never still...always buzzing around.

Very small bees, much smaller than ours. great photo of a flying bee.

Mei Teng: It is not always too dangerous to follow a bee as long as we never disturb it. Photography a bee in distance is interesting.

Glennis: It maybe much smaller than you would have thought. lol.

flyingstars: Shooting a flying creature is a challenge but also a fruitful reward at the end.

I'm OK with following THEM, but not with them following ME. I got stung three times the last time I cut my grass!

These tiny pretty flowers attract many bees and tiny butterflies. Most of the time, we walk by and missed them. The beauty of the camera is that it helps us capture these little moments in time, to be admired later in life.
