Hanging Webs

Circumstances do not make the webs, but they reveals the later and only when we have our passion.

I have experimented my first shooting on a web during April last year, since then I was hooked by the beauty of this architecture. I have stumbled upon a web with a pair of hollow eyes staring at me later in December. A spider was “harassed” and ran away while I was enjoying very much at one time, two of them greeted me in my wonderland at another time, and I saw one sailing on a blue sea not too long ago.

I came across another two that stayed higher than me for the advantage of being showered by the morning sunshine. They did know more than me that how life should be.

I am a lone hiker. The nature always wants to talk to a lone hiker since I do not and cannot talk to other, but to listen whole-heartedly.

And to collect some of the jewels of the morning along the way.

Rainfiled, these webs are amazing. I don't know how you capture them but you have such talent with these. So very cool.

Those webs are really beautiful because of the dark background! Happy for you that you got a macro lens - because you like to photograph details!
Have a great weekend finding all kinds of stuff:)

Hi rainfield! its been a while since I last visited your page. i can still remember your photo of a web with a pair of hollow eyes and that was one of the stunning shots that you had taken.

You are very lucky to see these "beauties' as you hike.

Thank you for visiting me. Salaam!

You captured the delicate structure of the web nicely. This post reminds me a famous quote from the Red Indian Chief's speech..."Man did not weave the web of life, hes merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web he does to himself"

Frieda/Poetic Shutterbug/jeannette:
The Nature gives them to me, I just play the role to record them down.

Mike:
The morning soft light always does wonder.

Tabib:
As long as you login to WWW, they start to crawl, all over your screen.

Misalyn:
I visited them, so I vist WWW, and yours.

silent moments:
I like the quote.
Whatever he does to the web he does to himself.

Willie/Kirigalpoththa:
You are right, morning reveals many nice things, the webs are one of them.

loshini:
Those are natural. The brighter foreground makes the background darker.
I remember I turned on the flash too.

i'm always amazed by the complexity of the web but it could be irritating if u happen to walk past it.

Your web lights up in the dark forest illuminating its beautiful pattern for all to see and not just for the spider's enjoyment.

your shots of the web are very creative and amazing, i probably hike alone only at Torrey Pines, and it is a special feeling, but in other more remote trails, I prefer to hike with my husband, I feel more secure and safe.

I like to talk about pantang things.

"Pantang"can be loosely translated as superstitious. I have not heard of rainflied's fire station one.

In fact for practical reasons, one would feel very secure to have the fire station right next door.

To the non Chinese readers. the Chinese believe in spirits, especially during the month of Lunar July, they are allowed to come out of netherworld.

I have heard of Ah Ngao's temple or religious building. A friend told me, a lot of burials are held in these premises. Corpses are kept there and their spirit friends come to visit, and they might get the wrong address and come to your house.

Another friend, actually said, forget the "Pantang", it is for practical reasons. During a funeral, lots of people come to these premises for many days, they may park their cars at your drive way, and you have to respect the dead, so you don't go and tell the visitors to move the cars.

The first pic is absolutely stunning! Love those light and dark tricks in the pics and the design of the webs. Spiders always creep me out but never their web designs. Aren't they the best web designers in the world? =D
