What a Wonderful Day

When I saw a pair of swallows upon arriving at the dam, I went up as quick as possible, and sneaked up on them inch by inch.

But my eyes told me the wrong picture. They were not oblivious of my presence, but tried to seduce me to get closer, and closer, and closer, and then flew away when I thought I could have some decent up close shots.

My experience rescued me from being totally wrong. I managed to capture its evil move.

Was I right again? No.

The swallows must have done magic in front of my foolish pair of eyes. I saw two swallows perching at the rail after one of the two swallows flying away when I went closer again.

Can you please help me to count? Do you see two?

I was teased by a Kingfisher at this same place. And not again. The little swallow showed it was much more superior than me, though it never laughed like the Kingfisher.

"Hurray!! I have a man being fooled! What a wonderful day!"

I guess it's a win-win situation. You entertain the birds and they reward you with magic tricks.

Another great post. They always seem to fly away right when you are ready to snap that picture. LoL, I'm pretty sure I see two swallows.

Very sneaky little birds. I think birds take delight in driving us humans insane.

Someday I might get some shots of the Barn Swallows teasing the cats. I'd love to get a video of a cat doing a back flip when a swallow dive bombs it.

jus a silly comment, would it help if u wear colors resembling the surroundings to fool the birds? :)

I second Bengbeng, you should come in a camouflage, Rainy! Teehee. But I have to say, beautiful motion shot! I love the bird taking off... amazing precision! :)

Diane:
It looks like I am in a negotiation game for a win-win situation.
I have to do some bird-talks by then.

Kirigalpoththa:
Is the picture or the bird a cute one? LOL.

eileeninmd:
Then, 2-1=2. What a silly mathematics I have done.

Willie: Thanks for your kind comment.

fufu:
No!! I shall not join you in birdwatching in the winter in Germany.

Loshini:
Burung layang-layang atau burung pipit? I am confused.

betchai:
I have to agree with after being fooled by them. This is a gift of happiness.

Icy BC:
If we think they are cute, then they must be cute.

Ratty:
Though being insane, yet still happy at the end.

wiseacre:
Wait to see the back flip of that cat, but you have to train him well. By the way, can you perform that back flip?

Bengbeng/Tes:
Both of you make me wearing a white Tee shirt with black stripes, and then I am one of the three stooges.

It's very nice of you to provide so much entertainment for the birds. I think they like teasing with you.

What wonderful photos. The little birds will wait for us to raise the camera and then they fly. Love the last photo.
