I found another squirrel

The Retired one is right. I have been influenced or mesmerized by Ratty. Right immediately after seeing the Plantain Squirrel, I saw a different species of squirrel again.

This was a real close encounter. I found him when I was wandering around near the dam. He stayed quietly behind a piece of rotten wood with his eyes closed, and be very safe by disguising himself very well as part of the wood. I wonder how I could see him as only his head was visible. He had never made any movement, not to mention even for a fast one.

When I reviewed through the pictures I had taken, it is ironically to say that I took only a few of his pictures in comparison to the countless clicking on the fast moving Plantain Squirrel. What a shame, anything that can be accessed easily by me are always not valued much.

Please say hello and see him a little bit longer before you leave. This can then make me feeling better because of my negligence.

Great Shot!

If you didn't say what it was I would have thought it was an odd shape that formed on a rotting log.

Looks like he nibbled at the leaves before he went to sleep.

Oh it looks like an old piece of rotten log..You're tricking us, aren't you rainfield? Can it be a real squirrel?

Darn that Ratty! (Thanks for the shout out in your blog!):-)
I am going to have to send another dragon to Ratty so he stops influencing all of us!

Here I see you again!!!
I have said it? Have I?

It has definitely never nibbled at the leaves. I am sure.

Icy BC:
You maybe right, you maybe right, you maybe right....

The Retired One:
Please do not repeat that. Please mesmerize again, or I'll see another again.

That is a great shot thoug very odd looking. I don't know if it's a squirrel and looks to be part of the wooden log. You'll have to go investigate with Ratty :)

if you had not mentioned, i'd have thought it was just a piece of rotten log.

Ha! Ha! You are so funny Rain!! But it is a cute old dead piece of log and it does look like a squirrel.

How come you're bumping into those furry li'l creatures lately? :)

I only see them once in awhile...and they usually scurry away quickly.

beautifully camouflaged.

That is an excellent catch! It took me a few seconds before I could see the squirrel. He really has a good way of hiding. I think he is what's known as a wood squirrel. Half squirrel, and half tree spirit. ;)

The imagination is a wonderful friend, it will let us see what we wish. I see a sleeping squirrel inside of the wood.

Some of my squirrel friends are visiting today.

Poetic Shutterbug:
It is actually part of the wooden log. It really looks like a squirrel at the time I have just met the Plantain Squirrel.

Life Ramblings:
You are right initially, but you think I am right. I am actually a fool.

I am funny, and you are right, in whatever way.

Mei Teng:
I have been mesmerized. Can you help me?

Beautifully camouflaged; do you mean the wooden log being in disguise as a squirrel?

I shall go back and tell him his new name: wood squirrel.
He must remain in the exact position and pose, otherwise....

I love your "one chameleon of a squirrel". Great description.

Shhh.... please do not wake him up. It sleeps as sound as a piece of wood.

How are your squirrel friends? Please send my regards to them.

I do hope it is a squirrel after these few days. It becomes so real now after all these comments.

Heheh...it's a great shot rain. I can almost see his reflections.

Wow, I was so taken by this photo! Such a still, sleepy squirrel blending in with his surroundings. Today I was awakened by my dog's frantic barking, the culprit? A big, fat gray squirrel on my bird feeder. The snow has gone quickly from all the rain we had recently and a chipmunk has appeared as well. Must be Squirrel Days!

It really looks like a squirrel head. Wise shot rainfiled. I wanted to enlarge the photo but to no avail.

I keep on staring..again and again, I wanted enlarge..failed, stared again..enough! Read the comments..alas! it was really a part of the rotten log.

You made my eyes even more tired than looking for my patients vein before intravenous insertion.

Did you turn a live squirrel wooden? :)

AVCr8teur said...

I see the squirrel too! ;P

rainfield61 said...

Heheh... though you see his reflection, you won't see his movement.

They were squirrel days on my last few days. I must have enough, I must stop, before too carry away by these squirrels,

Oh sorry my dear. I never mean to hurt your eye. It must be the fault of these squirrels.

Hehehe... Did I?

Luckily you do see, or....
