New Experience

I spotted a spider at Cerok Tokun, but I did not know what had happened.

I pulled a piece of leaf hoping the spider could move for my better view, and for its blue eyes to be in my pictures. It was then pulled towards my direction and never bounced back.

I did not know what had happened, but it did not seem to be a dead body.

So I asked the Internet. Gosh, I should have killed this vulnerable Jumping Spider due to my ignorance. It was actually undergoing a molting process.

And if this was a successful one, it should shed away its old exoskeleton like the one I found nearby.

There are still many things to be learned from the Nature.

But talking about all those New Year's Resolutions, I am thinking of this shedding of old skin.

It really does have blue eyes! Shedding skin has been on your mind for sometime that you even attracted a molting spider.

Ahh..well, the top one looks like the missing stone in my ring
(heh heh). Well you describe what seems to happen to me quite often as I wander around outside! Today, I thought of you because I got up extra early to snap pictures! You're so right about the morning..you wait and the sun is glaring and just too bright for many pictures to come out right. It's just a matter of getting out there? Anyway, nature sure does teach us huh..

The first picture looks like some lovely organic ring or bracelet.

I also thought your first photo looked like a ring. This is a very interesting photo sequence and post. I've been told that we are shedding skin every day, but I hope you won't take it too far.

It happened that the spider shed its skin during the new year eve.

It must be ready for a new life, or "for a new start on old habits"?

It looks so vulnerable hanging motionless like that. I would have thought it was a dead spider too.

You have sharp eyes and a strong heart to see this eerie critter.

Yet, the story serves a good knowledge to me

Fascinating. Nature is always full of suprises...

If human beings can shed their skins, then they can look younger. And perhaps the thick skinned people will become more less so.

It wasn't the hole in my pants, but the sheep shit which were all over the place.

I don't make New year resolutions, i knew from very long ago, I can't keep them.

Thisspider looks like the type people eat. You make a fire, and roast them.

Interesting! i had no idea about the molting process...thanks for sharing. Your photos are always beautiful, giving us ideas and of course, a visual treat. Cerok Tokun has a lot to offer for nature photography.

I don't make new year's resolution anymore (I did make once when I was 15).
