One morning. I saw one butterfly sinking itself in the lush green in the backyard. No no!! It was actually a mating couple that could easily escape from me, since no noise was heard.
I missed my macro lens and their up close facial expression at the same time.
They were disturbed on the other way, and had to continue flying reluctantly. But were again followed and peeped at different places.
The couple definitely hated me a lot, and decided to fly over the roof top finally.
I was annoyed then how good they were to perform a speedy synchronized dance in the air.

This is so beautiful for me to see at this time of the year, when all around is just ice..
Gorgeous photos, rainfield..Have a wonderful New Year!
He has zebra colors!
LOL, a little bit of privacy.
How can you take such 'obscene' photos! :)
You got some wonderful pictures here, even without your macro lens. But I can understand why they finally flew away to find some privacy.
You did disturb them a lot, but it was worth it, you took some beautiful pictures :-)
Greetings from icy Budapest,

If I didn't know any better, I would of thought the top were two mythological creatures (faces)that is terrific..so I think I have an idea of what you macro would of been like. What I'm missing with sorry eyes I make up for with imagination (lol)
Beautiful macro shots! Almost got the same shot of two mating butterflies 2 days ago while they were on my cucumber leaves...but I was too clumsy and bumbed my head into the chain fence that shook everything! So the moment was lost when they flew away. Not experiece yet like you Rainfield..:)
perhaps they decided a career in porn isnt quite their thing :) Great shosts, Rainfield
Next time put that macro lens in your pocket. ;)
It seems like they wanted some privacy, but you were more persistent. Still nice photos with or without your macro.
I guess even butterflies like their privacy. They are beautiful! Great captures. I wish you and your family a very healthy and happy New Year.
It was a day I became an intruder to two lovely couples.
1. The butterfly.
2. stay tuned
What beautiful butterflies with distinctive markings. You were naughty to annoy them!
Gorgeous lacy wings!
Furry creature :)
Please do not peep on other's privacy.
Hi, beautiful critters.
I love it.
oh, that is so beautiful, I like it how its gaze seem to lock on the photographer.
Well, seeing these beautiful shots of these beautiful butterfly couples make me happy at 4:00 in the morning.
Not sure if I was sleeping or waking up yet, but happy :)
