It was another working Saturday. This butterfly was ready to rest when I reached home. It was a hard day's night for both of us.
I managed to click a few shots before it went sleeping like a dog, or a log?
I might be a piece of log who would like to get caught in the rain, this seemed to be very normal for the butterfly in the other way. Or it had actually been in the delta stage of sleep.
And while I was picturing and poeting about the water droplets and the butterfly using my camera, I was pulled back to reality.
"The caterpillars had already devoured our leaves completely, and you still enjoyed taking its photo."
I confirmed myself as a piece of wood after a hard day's work.
By the way, this is the chilly tree in daylight on which the butterfly perched yesterday night. It is hot.

You are harvesting many ripe chilies Rainfield61. No need to wait till Mid-November:) If the white cabbage butterfly can have a bit of that butterfly colours in their wings.
Neat shot! Hmm... it's not easy to take pictures of butterflies, i find. Cause some are really sensitive.. One sudden move and they'll fly far far away. :(
Wow, a butterfly at night. So mysterious but beautiful.
Maybe the butterfly wasn't really sleeping but pretending to be sleeping? Hehe..
That butterfly looks like its ready for the ball..very story bookish!! I think a garden wouldn't be complete without a chili pepper plant! When mine is up an running then its like your ready to do battle!
Well now you know where they like to camp at night!
My camera seems to be behaving at the moment.. but I was told there may be something internal going out (like me) lol:))
Same as you all, I always wonder where do these butterflies hang out at night.
I may have found part of the answer.

Give the poor fella a rest Rainfield...you too shd rest at nite...or are you one of those nocturnal creature too! ;)
Hohoho, I must rest at night.
I still have a long journey waiting for me the next day.

My nose is big as an elephant. It blows the french horn LOL
smaller chilis are hot, don't be fooled by the color
that butterfly has a distinct color, pretty flutterby
Such splendor in your world. That butterfly is a beauty as I'm sure you ate!
Very unusual colors. Wonder if it was hibernating for it to be that motionless.
PS: I still couldn't capture a single shot of a butterfly even though I saw hundreds of them flying past me last time. -__- lol
