A spell Was Casted

I thought I could rescue the Smurfs, and you had thought that Gargamel was a coward, somehow or other all the mushroom houses had lost their classic umbrella-like cap-and-stem shape by now. They had been shrunk. They had lost their fleshy bodies.

The Smurfs had lost their home!

How could a jacuzzi bathtub been loaded inside?

Where was the room for their gym sets?

There was no place left for the soundproof room for the home theater system.

Some other houses had been turned upside down. The whole Smurf village had been in a state of total chaos.

But not these.

These few was found at a dark and spooky corner. The black spots must be the multiple eyes of Gargamel... and his cat.... and

the village was now lying under the spell, until someone could kiss and break the dark power.

And never ever think of eating these mushrooms at Cerok Tokun, unless you consider yourself stronger than Gargamel.

You would understand me more after seeing the last picture.

Note: The last picture shows a Hammerhead worm, or land planarian. It can be found in dark, cool, moist areas under objects such as rocks, logs, in debris, or under shrubs, and on the soil surface following heavy rains. This is the first time I come across this eerie little thing. Heads of many land planarians are expanded lunate or tapering to a blunt point. They were reported as being capable of eradicating entire earthworm populations on farms.

You have to do something to save those poor little Smurfs from that evil Gargamel. He's on a rampage! Maybe that hammerhead worm is one of his evil pets.

Another great post, I am enjoying your smurf series. The hammerhead worm is a cool critter.

The hammerhead worm is so fascinating! And you found it while you were observing mushrooms. I like how one thing in nature points to another.

You found someone more wicked than the Gargamel. I have never seen that creature before. Peculiar one.

worms of any kind gives me the creeps.

That last pic is really interesting. Have never heard hammerhead worm. Only heard and seen hammerhead shark.

Wow.. what a story.. a really sad one this time. Was this taken after a rainstorm?

PS: I can't recall the Smurf village having this much of luxuries.. from home theatres to Jacuzzis. =D

PPS: oh and that lil guy named hammerhead.. I've seen it a few times over here too. Mostly indoors when they try to invade our territory and we've to scoop them up and throw them out. -__- And I used to think they're a type of poisonous slugs, squashed and stretched by the theory of evolution. =D

Nice post... very witty and with a hint of humor. I love mushroom too... I have bunch of photos that I have not published yet... now you reminded me wink***. Nice one again. Keep it coming.

Some of those mushrooms are large enough for Smurf swimming pools. Perhaps that is the only remaining part of the Smurf's home. Maybe the worm will scare away Gargamel.

Woooo... Hammerhead worm! I thought only Shark have it!

Something must be done to save the Smurf village. How can they play with their XBox 360 with no play room.

The hammerhead worm is very interesting, I have never heard of them before. Thanks for the information.

Ratty:
I agree 100% with you. The hammerhead worm is one of Gargamel's evil pets. He tries to frighen me away.

Icy:
I thought it was a kind of snake at first. I was excited at that moment coupled with a lot of eeriness.

wenn:
Yes, sangat geli..

eileeninmd:
Though it is interesting, I have to stop anyhow. I do not intend to be kissed awake later under the black spells of Gargamel.

Diane/Kirigalpoththa:
The hammerhead worm is the warning sign by the evil Gargamel.

Life Ramblings:
Yes, I can feel your hands are shaky.

Mei Teng:
It is the hammerhead shark that lead me the way to identify its name. They are similar in a certain way!

Harumi:
Yes, it was after a rainstorm, and I saw Cerok Tokun was so different with so many fallen trees.

P/S: According to Squirrel Queen, they play with Xbox too.

Cate:
I do not know as I did not try to eat them.

Bengbeng:
Can you be my assistant?

Glennis:
Thank you for loving my craziness.

Ruthi:
You will be as crazy as me if you keep following me! A warning to you! lol!

AVCr8teur:
I have checked around: the Smurfs like to swim, but they can't do it now. The worm is patrolling the area...

VanillaSeven:
There are many things that are beyond our imagination.

SquirrelQueen:
You are even more "powerful" than me. I have to learn from you. Salute!!

Be careful of the hammerhead, rainfield. A hammer + a head is really painful when being hit by it.

Rainfield you have to be the hero here and rescue the smurfs. Great shots and that certainly is a unique looking worm. Fantastic closeup.

amazing captures of mushrooms Rainfield, the way you shot them also added more to their 'superbness", am getting hungry, i hope they are edible since I am trying to dream having them grilled wrapped in banana leaves :)

I also wonder if Gargamel placed the hammerhead worm in the Smurf's village. You got some wonderful pictures (again).

I though you were kidding with a hammerhead worm! Truth is stranger than fiction.
