A Hiker and A Frog

Do I have to "hop off the straight and narrow whenever I can and take the winding paths, in order to experience the exhilaration of the view from the edge?"

So I hop like a frog, but I am really not, thus I settle down to walk like a man again.

Interestingly, I manage to enjoy beauties while staying in the straight and narrow, without taking any winding paths, and without hopping.

The beauties stay straight in front of me, all the time. No tricks, and no hide and seek.

A hiker may not necessary be a frog.

Love is everywhere

It is so interesting to find traces of time on each of the fibers on a crawling root. It keeps wearing a big broad smile days in and out.

It is overwhelmed with plenty of loves: green loves and brown loves. That is the secret.

And that is a type of treasure that only hikers can find, because it is them who make time visible.

Leaves for Leontien

It rains, and mushrooms mushroom. 

What if Cerok Tokun is carpeted with flower-like yellow mushrooms?  

A green sprout just cannot resist to turn into a phenomenon too, as if it is a cheerleader, dancing, jumping, and cheering, 

"Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah! Leontien, knock melanoma in the knee. Leontien, knock melanoma in the other knee." 

It has been raining for many weeks, and seems like never want to stop, for a good reason that the cheering can continue.

Mushrooms are the happiest in the jungle when it rains . I join in, and am as happy.

Red Mushrooms, and their Cousins

I was not as wet as a fish. Lucky me. I found some pretty red mushrooms the next Sunday I went  hiking; the same Cerok Tokun, at a different time, the dimension in which new wonders  hide.

Their striking color exposed themselves. Lucky them, I am a hiker, not a predator, yet they  survived not a week, but was already the whole life.

Nearby, their neck-stretching cousin got my attention. Yes, being delicate, yet it was dynamic, and proactive. Oops, a little bit of extra stretching would see the mushroom uprooting itself. 

And more of the them are living unnoticed in the forest. 

These mushroom's cousins aren't me. They like as wet as a fish. They mushroom.

I was not a fish

As I moved on, a carpet of flowers had been laid in front of me. That was a welcome sign! My level of adrenaline rose immediately.

Not far away I found a parades of marching ants. I must be one of the celebrities. Was I? Affirmative!

Then I heard a whisper that was intended to be loud enough, at least, for me.

"Sorry man, we are busy moving to a safer place ahead of a thunderstorm. You could be as wet as a fish if you are late."

"And never be imaginative. You aren't a fish. That won't help."
