A Brief Visit

A family of Scaly-breasted Munia took shelter at my front yard during a drizzling afternoon. They were actually a foot apart from me; but its seemed to be a hundred feet away as they never noticed me behind the tinted window glass.

The parents were busy at flying back and forth for the feeding routine, and

another unlucky worm that had made a fatal mistake which only others could learn from.

I went out for some clearer shots. This juvenile hesitated initially, it then struggled, fell onto the floor and finally managed to fly away.

Only the lesson wouldn't fly.

In the Woods

If pebbles divide ocean and land, thin line of trees then separate sky and earth. When getting tired of flying high or running low, we always go back to this boundary.

We are not alone for most of the time.

We may not, sometimes.

Beauty and the Beast

Once tried, I get addicted. Though might be fooled again, I continue my exploration into their little world .

But I was then shocked instead in front of my viewfinder window. This brown hopper was unexpectedly rugged and worn out.

Though fated and predestined, this was still an unpleasant face.

I made a simple effort to console myself by focusing on a nearby Beauty that was wearing a red ribbon. I shifted the piece of leaf for a better pose, and to move her closer to the "beast". She stayed calm and patient.

"Oh, it's no use. She's so beautiful, and I'm... Well, look at me!" the Beast muttered.

"But anyhow, thank you for stopping by."

A Talking Moth

You can’t read my mind though you think you can. My eye won’t tell the truth. You can come back a hundred times, take a thousand micro shots, and write post after post, but these will only reflect your stodgy imaginations.

I pose to fool you, and you are too smart to tell my life but that is actually your own interpretation. You feel so proud to tell the whole world.

You may come to find my cousin next week; you can write again, only your friends, in turn, to be fooled.

Rainfield, have you gone insane by now?

Sketches of Sunlight

A misty morning is not the only verse, when Nature allows morning sun flecks to penetrate through the canopy, when lines of light and shadow being sketched on my hiking trail, another dreamy perspective has been proposed.

Beauty can be lit up, and it was this time, on some ordinary pieces of leaf. Layers of color illuminated and transformed, and Cinderella came to my mind, but without the luxury to stay until twelve midnight.

This then tempted me to sniff along my way up and down Cerok Tokun for more hidden beauties. Others sniffed as well. I over-heard a lady whispering how smelly I was.Oh! I had stressed myself to be soaked to the skin.
