A blogger friend has sowed a seed of curiosity by commenting on my blog; it germinated and grew my interest. I started to search for information on eye colors.
A so-called “Window Approach” declares that the color of a person’s eye is an indicator of one’s personality, whereby brown eyes symbolize sharpness, blue eye, sweetness and green eyes, mischievousness. Dark-eyed people seem to score more in areas of social skills, emotions and neurotic behavior than light-eyed people.
When I met this critter, my question went back to the Window Approach. A robber fly must be having a mixed personality by showing all colours of a rainbow in its compound eye. May this character help during attacking its prey that includes the ants? I do not know.
But I know in the end, it became a part of the food chain of ants.
Do fancy eyes help in the end?
