I had let yesterday used up too much of today's dreams. My auto recovery system is wearing out.
So I run 21km in the dawn; some studies say this can give me some level of runner's high, just like Super Mario turns powerful by touching mushrooms.
I really go high, because I dream high all the way.
I dream to finish my next marathon in less than five hours, and less than four in the next.
This is a spare dream of today as there are mushrooms along my way.
I dream in my dream.

You are a dreamer, I am a thinker. I think while I walk and I walk often so I think often. Think about .. what? I think about my dreams to turn reality.
Maybe if you touch the right mushroom you'll be able to throw fireballs like Mario. Not very likely but it's a fun thought.
Dreams within dreams -- you are very lucky! For me to accomplish half of what you do I would need magical mushrooms indeed.

It sounds like you definitely qualify for a runner's high, Rainfield. I see little cup-shaped fungi like yours dreaming their dreams in my garden sometimes, and some that look like little bird's nests with eggs inside. I hope the marathon dreams come true for you.
