A film would play whether people are watching or not; this
seemed right to a thin long snake far atop a tree. Its story continued when my
macro lens was in action.
The effect, I know, would not be magnetic as the pictures
taken were heavily cropped, though a mosquito was involved later.
But this would be dramatic if the bent proboscis of the
mosquito could be visible, (ah, biting a wrong target) and best used by a
storyteller.
It presence was never felt somehow, otherwise the snake
would be sorry for being born without a pair of hands.

I can't believe you saw that moment, and not only that captured it with your camera. Better the mosquito bite the snake than you! (I'm more afraid of mosquitos than I am of snakes in some ways.)

A snake knows its role and does not have to rehearse although this mosquito might need some practice.

It's a great subject for macro photo session but don't get too near, things could turn unpredictable

I just had to tell you how wonderful that first picture is. The second one is good too, but that first one caught a special moment.
Hmm- would a mosquito bite a cold-blooded creature? Very strange.
Should I say lucky mosquito or poor snake? :D Either way it's a wonderful capture of an unusual encounter!
