Green Birds

I like to ponder over an apple. Sir Isaac Newton got inspired by a falling one, and Steve Jobs by a bite on it. I believe I can, when time is right.

My mother led me to her little garden during this New Year. I saw many little flowers, but she was so joyful to show me her little green birds.

My mother is eighty-four. She was a babysitter at the age of seven, and managed only to pass by many schools everyday. She does not know an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

She too never know her fifty two-years old son is trying his chance with an apple, while her green birds are ready to fly.

Your mother and my mother are about the same age. They know more than any school could ever teach. :)

Love the green 'birds'. And your mother sounds like someone I would like to know -- I love that she has such a creative mind and takes such joy in nature. It sounds like she's not a complainer even though she apparently hasn't had a real easy life. (She's a role model for me.. and at 72, I'm not all that far behind her!).

Great find. I seldom see this kind of plant. Thanks for sharing.

Really nice to hear about your mom Rain. Moms are always wise, cause it's their age and umpteen experiences that make them wiser than all. :)

Also the tiny green birdies are lovely too. :)

Oh you didn't just say that: your age that's it..Now, I don't feel so old :-)

Your mom's green bird gave her joy and she shares it with you! That's so sweet..and you in turn took a gorgeous photo for her.

You warm my heart today!

Blessed Lunar New Year to your family. I pray that your mother will live many more years to show her love to you in the form of a green bird.

Happy Luna New Year. We went to the subtropical island during New year. There were many Chinese and Korean people in the same hotel we stayed.
My mother had gone. I hope you and your mother have good days in many years.

Happy Chinese New Year.
Yes I feel grateful that I can go and study while my mother never had a chance.

I'd also love to see those green birds in your Mom's "little" garden.

Heck...what I'd REALLY enjoy is that hike which starts as steps and where most folks become visitors instead of hikers. (Hiking days are past--I have also become a visitor. Find me a chair and a coffee pot. (Get the picture? Smiles!)
