A long tailed macaque fell when leaping from one tree to another.
I expected a similar happening when spotting some dusky leaf monkeys later.
I focused on one that stayed the highest. I waited. It moved from a branch of one tree to another. I waited. It stopped for some berries. I waited, but began to feel the weight of my camera very soon, so I shifted to the other one. And change to another again.
They were cool and steady, and no surprises in the end.

What I can say is, surprises are always predictable, they only catch me by surprise.

i am laughing. :)
(rainfield, would you consider removing word verification? it is terrible now and very hard to read. please?!) :)
Watching those monkeys would be very fun for me. I wish I had a few real monkeys here. I hope when they fall they only bruise their egos.
I agree about the word verification. It appears that they have changed it, and it is very difficult to read. I'm glad you did away with it.
It appears that the monkeys surprised you with no surprises.
I like your Bancaptcha image. I may use it myself.
Thats why they are monkeys to surprise you. Well, Once a big monkey came in my balcony and my dog got scared of him then I wasn't surprised... I was HORRIFIED as who the hell is going to protect me from a monkey raid?
it's been a while, i think i have missed your monkey posts, brings so much smiles here :) thanks for sharing rainfield.
when you anticipate something to happen, it never does.
out of topic: can't get enough of your photo header.
They look so cute but i don't want them in my garden though! hahahhaa..
USUALLY, THE WRITER WILL TAKE ACCOUNT OF HIMSELF IN SUCH SCENARIO. GOTCHA!
They steal your lunch?
These monkeys came to my house and stole a jar of peanuts and McDonalds french fries, That was in Singapore, nobody could believe me.
So when I was in Singapore, I was living in the jungle, no need to walk far away like you.
I find my blog and show you something special.
Well, your monkey is quite high on the top branches. He is watching you..
Hi Rainfield, for me it would be a great surprise to even see these cute monkeys. Their faces are adorable. Wonderful shots. Have a great week!
U nas małpki nie skaczą po drzewach, dlatego to dla mnie wspaniały widok :-). Pozdrawiam serdecznie. *** We do not monkey jumping from tree to tree, so for me a wonderful view :-). Best regards.
Surprising the monkey can stay on such a light branch.
Greetings,
Filip
What happens when monkeys fall? Do they manage to get hurt very little, like cats?
aww so cute them monkeys.. but hey stay away from me hahaha... no monkeying around yes.. Luckily no monkeys around where I live but I remember a trip to one of the islands in Kota Kinabalu.. such a nuisance.. they are so clever and agile and fast. We almost ended up having no food... and the monkeys up the trees with our packets of maggie mee seemingly mocking us ..shooo already..haha
Great pics here!!
Not a big fan of monkeys, but this one is beautiful. I hope he and you were not harmed during the filming of this event! :)
they look so lovely!
How cute!Especially its facial expression of the third pics is lovely.I felt like waving my hand to him or herin spite by myself.
This post made me smile. And your idea of predictable surprises is unique :)
It looks like they are watching you and probably fascinated with a human carrying a camera. I wonder if they have snapshots of you.
Hello! All photos are beautiful!
Beautiful post!!
Take care
Always hoping I can be as agile as them during fruit season to enjoy all those fruit on the tree.
Ouch on the fall! Glad there were no more surprises. Great post!
Thank you so much for sharing at Your Sunday Best! :)
