I thought I might miss hiking this week. I woke up in a rainy morning, it was 5am. By 7am, I managed to squeeze out a smile as it was only drizzling by then.
In fact, I experienced strong blowing wind for this first time at Cerok Tokun. I needed to use my pair of ears intensively. Besides watching trees shaking vigorously, I had to differentiate between rubbing sound of leaves and branches, and breaking sound of branches.
If you can imagine that type of sound when wind blowing through a tunnel, then you were with me, and we finally reached the peak hesitantly, without bringing any umbrella, but holding a camera all the way.
The temperature was as cold as about 23 degree C which could be felt by the tip of my nose.
It was misty at the peak, that can be shown, but to capture vibrating trees and strong blowing wind were beyond my limit. Somehow, the carpet of fallen leaves helped to tell the story.
I no more squeezed out any smile when I waved my girl friend goodbye. I was actually laughing happily. It was another fresh and good morning.
I would like to use the next picture to explain my passion.
A happy day to you.

oh wow, i can see very well your passion in this set of pictures, the 2nd picture looks so mysterious, the haze coming out from the trail seemed like you're going to another place. i am glad you had another fresh and good morning.
I lyk the second picture.. I get that mysterious feeling..
What a beautiful morning, captivating in lightful experience. I feel am there with you, as you describe.
It sure looked misty in the 2nd last photo...and also abit creepy.
Happy monday to you! I am looking forward to the coming weekend :)
Wah...aren't you scared..that place...spooky and the temp is 23C? that's cold and spooky...
I love the last photos. the first and 2nd photos looks very spooky, great shots!
The first pic, was it a fallen branch on your path?
And ya, there's something spooky and mysterious about the 2nd pic.. almost like a still from a mystery movie.. like there's something or someone creepy.. lurking at the end of the path... right behind that misty haze.. o__O lol
I like the 3rd pic too.. it's full of life.. with berries and droplets.. and one fibril of a cobweb.
Great pics to start the day.. Thanks for sharing and you too have a great day! ^__^
I know that cold tip of the nose feeling very well. It's a great feeling for me. I understand the great feeling your journey gave you. Your second picture shares some of that with me. It's the kind of place I love as well.
betchai: rain had washed away the haze. I enjoyed the misty trail that look mysterious so much.
Kirigalpoththa: The mysterious feeling happened long time ago, and it continues although I get to know her more.
Ana: The last picture inspires me with lightful experience, which has triggered me once it was taken.
Mei Teng: I am counting down the weekend for you, as well as for me.
Willie: cold, spooky, misty, mysterious, fallen leaves, Alfred Hitchcock, Master of Suspense.
vanillaseven: If you love the last one, then I should have done with my job, cheers!! Happy day.
Harumi: Yes, it was the fallen branch in the midst of strong wind. At the end of the winding road, I saw no Alfred Hitchcock but these lightful berries and droplets, and I went back to count, it is really one fibril of a cobweb.
Ratty: I was mistaken and confused the mist with my breath. I was too carried away, as simple as that, in this beautiful morning.
I love the second photo. It is dark with a little mystery which I love. Very nice shots.
hehe.. good to know there wasn't anything spooky but the berries. oh you went back to count? lol Maybe the rest of the fibrils and fibers might have got destroyed from the strong winds. Poor Mr. spider will have to rebuild his home from scratch.
It's a lovely pathway and did you know i love pathways...they are so intriguing where it leads and ends. BTW, you've been tagged on my other blog and hope you do enjoy playing. Please click on my name to direct you there. Thanks.
The beauty of Cerok Tokun is totally out of my imagination. I have been there weekly too, but what you see is not what I get, very funny.
Poetic Shutterbug: It was dark due to the rain, and same to the mist. So good.
Harumi: The daily routine prevent me from going back to confirm. (I checked back my picture, I enlarged it..)
If Mr Spider does not re-build its home everyday, then how does it spend its time? lol
Pacey: Pathway is your favourite? Then your frequent visit will discover more and more of them.
CH: You make me think of Windows: what I see is not what I get, funny too.
23 degrees C sounds nice and warm for me, but I'm not much of a heat loving person. The last shot is very enticing, sums up your walk really well.
Oh! The picture of the mist ahead on the trail with the leaves is really wonderful. Worth any amount of wind and rain. 23 C? That's warmer than it is at my house right now!
That second photo is especially captivating!
ah, yeah, it looked like fog to me - but it's like imagining the gates of heaven...betchai and you make me wish i could go hiking again...
