This was one of the Sunday morning. I whistled back while the Puffed-throated Babblers were singing the same old song. The cicadas continued calling in a loud noise; that occasionally attracted an unintended visitor like me. The only quiet scenes were the bright spots on the trees and on the ground.
I saw me and my shadow took turn to lead each other during the trekking.
And I met this caterpillar on the ground. “You are having a tough trip climbing up Cerok Tokun; I better go downhill.” It told me.
“You are right, but I can see more up there.” I replied.
“I agree. Let’s meet you there once I can fly.”

Rainfield, it looks like another great trek. I love the first shot of the trees and what a cute caterpillar.
I really love caterpillars. This is a good one.
By the time, it can fly, it would be towards the end of its life. Enjoy the journey.
however you got the first picture, it is absolutely amazing. and again, nice story about your encounter with the caterpillar.
I hope you made a firm reservation. You know how flighty those butterflies can be.

This is the first time in my life I've seen a caterpillar up close and personal. He's kinda cute :) thanks for the treat, Rainfield. I always enjoy journeying along with you.
It was more like what you guys call a relief teacher. They didn't have enoughed trained teachers so they recruited fresh out of high school students to be temporary teachers. They teach for a while before they go to teachers' college or is treated as a GAP year like me before I went to university. It was the best job I had, young and enthusiastic. Now, some of those students had found me in Facebook.
when I was young in Sarawak, there were those blacky hairy worms. You touch it, and you get a swollen patch.
Such a fuzzy looking creature. I wonder how he will turn out. So many dangers along the way!
