"All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls."

This butterfly was supposed to be a very busy, happy and desirable one the next morning: To inhale the ardent aroma, to get in love and to murmur sweet nothings in the ears of the nubile flowers.
And to sow more colors of the rainbow in the wild.
It had a date the next morning.

"The steed bit his master;
How came this to pass?
He heard the good pastor
Cry, “All flesh is grass”."

Ah ha ha..I get mixed up in both worlds too (lol)..but glad you found your way out. This was both sassy and poetic- I enjoyed the photo too, but missed you:)
I enjoyed both your pictures and your poem
The first photo, is it a camera trick, It is actually a piece of folded paper? LOL
You celebrate Chap Goh Mei and go under Penang bridge to pick up oranges?
I had a shared makan last night, and we had plenty of food.
I have been flapping my arms since I was a kid. Once at Pri 6, i didn't flap enough, I fell from a tree and twisted my ankle.
These are amazing!
Wonderful post.
Happy weekend.
Nice post Rain!
Hi.. very nice pictures.. the butterfly is rare.. and the colour of thr flower very pleasant..
Lovely poem, Rainfield. The flower is one of my favorite colors and the butterfly is beautiful all perfect to go with your poem.
Why did you pluck out the wing just to be poetic? Now, don't break my arm for simply accusing. :)
Beautiful flower, and wonderful words. I'm lost..
The butterfly left one side of its wing on the soil. Wonder what happened to the insect.
Extremely thought provoking words and image of the fallen wing.Well done!
You got lots of stories to tell about your Cerok Tokun findings Rainfield!
cute flower!
A good peaceful post that makes me dream of nature.
Looks as if the butterfly shed it's evening clothing to go to work in the morning.
That's a cute post to connect the two great pictures.
Hello!

The little rhyme made me laugh out loud. First one of the day!
