This is the place where I found two spiders that led two different lifestyles. I always come back, they still go through the same cycle, but this was not my focus today, though the hard rock music from one of them sounded very strong.
Time is like water flowing, when I think I had managed to freeze it, it was actually tickling away between each of my click and snap.
And it transformed into an embedded face on the left hand side of the water. It swirled in the turbulent. It was twisted. It disappeared shortly after having a quick glimpse at me.

Excellent watery images!
i always love your thoughts Rainfield, and how you connect to nature so well. and hey, you did a great job in those water images, beautiful shots.
You took some beautiful pictures. And it's always interesting to read your thoughts---
Oh Rainfield, I love the colors of these rocks, and how the water flows..I'm there..
As usual... great photos and great thoughts. I love how you relate life with ordinary things.
time huuh... well i dont want to know my future now... i want to create my own future myself :) hihihi
This was too cool! I was delighted to find I could enlarge the first and the last one..wow they look terrific up close!! I'm sure those stones could tell you a story- I see a face (grin), really a neat post Rainfield-
Looks cool and relaxing but yeah. the swirls look like a face.
These are beautiful watery images. I like your comparison of time with flowing water. Your photos are wonderful interpretations of your words.
i love it! great shots!
Being a photographer, you can't freeze the time, but you can freeze the motion of water....
rainfield61, beautiful images of the water flowing zig zagging down the rocks! Sometimes its like time freezes when you sit n watch, fascinated by the flow of water finding its own way...The sight n sound of flowing water, framed by the splendour of nature, have a tranquil, soothing effect.
This is another instance where nature overpowers technology...
Its only the harsh winter that can freeze a stream...
Lovely shot, Rainy! The slippery rocks stood out against the cool water. Love the depth, and the colors. :)
rocks have 3 lives? wow! i wish people do too... :)
Time waits for no one. If you manage to freeze it, I want to know your secret.
The legend of a piece of rock that has three lives is referred to the novel on ancient China, "A Dream of Red Mansions" which is sometimes named "The Story of the Stone".
石”有三生,“玉”有三分,人生亦有三境界.

I have problem to upload pictures which cannot be enlarged later. Sorry for that.
If possible, I'll tell the story of this stone.

The face swirled and swirled, and refused to vanish after a short while.

Chinese always links flowing water with time, I just echo the saying.

The last paragraph : i love it. u r writing
so well now... i l like the way u paint yr philosophy in words
There are 2 versions of Canon Macro 100mm, one is with "IS", the other without "IS", if within budget then get the one with "IS", you will gain 4 stops slower shutter speed, good for handheld shots.
Wonderful picture. Do wish we could freeze the time sometime though (wishful thinking).I like the 3rd picture the best it is like a painting.
I love water pictures where the water is flowing smoothly like that. I need to learn how to slow down my camera's shutter speed to make that work!
Wow.. what a scenic spot.. but that watery face sure was creepy. =D
Quite beautiful and inspiring thoughts. Shall I call you as the Great Sage Rain? =D
Looi,is there a URL where i can see the original pictures (actual size) of the flowing water. The exposure is good. You actually did not freeze the time nor the water, the flowing "milky" stream is nostalgic and freezes your thought......Subrayoga
Rainfield you are so eloquent in your words. You should be a poet. Your photos are simply stunning to say the least. I can feel the ebb and flow through your shots.
I like the face in the water. It may have left you quickly, but you froze time forever with your camera.
