Mushroom, Santa Claus and Dog

I saw this mushroom as Santa Claus yesterday. It was by then showing his standard stylish thick white beard. I could hear the low and slow ho ho ho while he was delivering gifts to the homes of the so called good children.

( It is ho ho ho instead of he he he because Santa Claus is a big fat old guy, he he he simply sounds like a little elf.)

At the end of a hard and harsh day, I am now seeing the mushroom as a dog sticking out its tongue for some quick and shallow breaths, for the sole reason that he needs to cool off the entire body. I am certainly carried away by this.

I think the mushroom looks more like Santa Claus than a dog, but either way they are great pictures.

I have never seen something like this before. This is one unique looking mushroom.

Looks like it's to late to get that dog a rabies shot. It's already foaming at the mouth.

Interesting shelf mushroom. I have a hard enough time identifying those around here let along something on the other side of the globe.

If you look at the underside you'll see pores in stead of gills.

I think you have been smoking mushrooms. I hear it was the thing to do in the "60's".

George:Ho-ho-ho, you have it!

Mei Teng: I have not seen them until I go jungle trekking.

WiseAcre: You are suggesting me to lie down again. ok, no problem. I have no problem to be licked by the tongue.

Cher: ho-ho-ho mushroom, what a good idea.

VinillaSeven: Does it taste good?

kirigalpoththa: No no.. Filipino starts celebrating Christmas from September.

Ayie: Merry Christmas!!

Mother Goose: I would not fall into your trap. I would not response. I am much younger than you have suggested.

This mushroom is what Santa Claus would be if he was a dog. He would turn into a magical mushroom that grants wishes and turns all the rich kids into fungi.

Cool mushroom pictures! I don't see Santa Claus or a dog's tongue, but I do see a mushroom stuck deep down a well and the white part is the opening.

Icy BC: Thanks.!.

Ratty: Wow, it is too complicated for my simple brain. lol.

Willie: So you are seeing one now. Congratulation.

AVCr8teur: Yes, it is a good suggestion. Thank you.

cherie: You better don't tell, or you may scare me away.

Bangchik and Kakdah: Maybe I shall find out on my next trip. I shall try to have an ant's view to confirm its gender.

You are such an imaginative soul rainfield. I see more of a dog than Santa. Great shots.

Lol that was a good one! =D "ho ho ho" definitely suits the personality of Santa. =D

The mushroom sure looks like a Santa too, but the 2nd pic reminds me of a big brown python wearing a wily grin and a thick milky white necklace.. like Kaa from Jungle Book. =D

It's a great pic that inspires and triggers imagination. Cool capture Rain!

Tes: Hai, welcome back. This rare mushroom is a gift for you.

Harumi: Please do not mention you have a python as your neighbour.
