Map of Dream

Yesterday builds today's  lush carpet-thick of memory, and the memory extends in tomorrow to become today's dream.

It sounds complicated. This is what has been observed as a waveform of the life of a snail.

A snail moves not in a hurry. Would it travel faster if it knows that the size of Amazon Rainforest is 2.72 million square miles, and there is a river, the Rio Hamza, around 4km underneath the Amazon River?

Everyday is a fascinating eye-opener. A snail would, if it could, it surely would like to aim for a bigger map of dream.

Then, everyday is a full-marathon to the snail.

  4. Somehow, I think the snail would continue life at the same pace. Even if it had the knowledge of the Encyclopedia Brittanica. Or am I wrong?

  7. Your soul is that of a poet. I think the snail is perfectly satisfied with his slow deliberate journey.

  10. Beautiful capture as usual. Snails have their own world. That is as fast as they can go. :)

  11. Maybe the snail knows something we don't with his slow deliberate movement.

  13. Hi! I remembered a poem. "The snail's on the thorn;
    God's in His heaven,
    All's right with the world!" by Browning.

  15. I sometimes think about creatures like snail that maybe they are slow to us, but on the other side, do they think too that why we are so fast, that we forget to enjoy the peace of life?

  16. The snail wouldn't be able to imagine the whole Amazon river valley, all stretched out, like we can't really imagine all the wonders of space. But the snail keeps right on eating it's way through life anyway, I like its shiny shell all in one plane, we used to have the fat conical-shelled ones in California, here we also have flat ones but in a pale green, I never see them sticking out of their shells like your great photo.

  18. I think the snail is happy with his snail world; he does not dream of the Amazon. Sometimes I wish I were more like that -- but still I dream of seeing places (and rivers) that I will never get to at my human snail's pace!
