Suddenly I see the eyes of water staring at me for the first time. That should not be a big deal, but it somehow adds a little savor to the life of a little old man.
I have not experienced before, but I shall feel very shy if thousands or millions of eyes stare at me. But then, how proud I shall be when they have rounds of applause for me twelve weeks later.
I am controversial!! And I choose to forget: "don't accept your dog's admiration as a conclusive evidence that you are wonderful" occasionally.
used to catch those tadpoles from the longkang.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are old, and you have siblings elsewhere, you try to visit them if they are not as far away. 3 hrs flight to Brisbane.
Tadpoles are quiet but with large staring eyes. Guess you would prefer them anytime to noisy birds?
ReplyDeleteYou found tadpoles, and my son found tiny little frogs on the soccer field! It's ok to be happy seeing them..
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me when I was young and used to catch Tadpoles. I loved watching them grow into frogs. They do have huge eyes..Ha! Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteNow there are a lot of very very little frogs where I work...I see them everywhere there...
ReplyDeleteThere are thousands of eyes in some ponds aren't there? I wonder if they are thinking about banding together and making a community effort to make a meal of you.
ReplyDeleteOh my used to catch many tadpoles in kubang kerbau and longkong in my childhood. But sadly my children still not have a chance to do that. Not seen any frog here in Adelaide. Strange.
ReplyDeleteIm breeding them in my pond! Well..not actually, its just that the frogs love to mate in one of my water plants..their mating calls at night really keep me awake sometimes. So there were a few hundreds of tadpoles at one time, though very little survive I think, since there were about 20 koi inside my pond having a wonderful feast! I have small frog in my bathroom who had made himself a permanent resident there!
ReplyDeleteCool captures of the tadpoles. They do have big eyes. I see lots of them in my pond.
ReplyDeleteOh tadpoles bring back happy memories. We use to catch them in a nearby pond when we were kids! Have a nice day, Rainy! :))
ReplyDeleteAre you staring at the tadpoles or are they staring at you? I did not know so many people catch tadpoles until I read your comments. Perhaps they hope you will not catch them.
ReplyDeleteApplause from a million frogs must be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture...
ReplyDeleteYour post reminds me of a friend who didn't know till her 20s that frogs develop from tadpoles...she couldn't believe it when I explained it to her :)
ReplyDeleteI think you're wonderful, too, rainfield!
ReplyDeleteTadpoles aren't as cute as little frogs. When I lived in Florida, they would be out by the millions after a rainfall. You couldn't walk anywhere without squishing them, though, or taking a tumble, sliding on them.
I use to catch tadpole from drain too! Thinking it's tiny fish! hahahhaa
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteyour post always bring me laughter, how inspiring it would be indeed when thousands eyes from the water would stare at me adoringly :)
ReplyDeleteHopping over from Lrong..you've got nice pixz and great adventures. Will be back for more. Cheers.
ReplyDeletei saw many ladybirds yesterday!! lol
ReplyDeleteWe have tree frogs that are relatively new here. They don't hum..they are a noisy group of immigrants (lol)
ReplyDelete"don't accept your dog's admiration as a conclusive evidence that you are wonderful" I'll try not to!
