This is a place that we have long abandoned. It ever led us to some other places that we had wished to. It did enjoy its moments of glory during which many languages had been overheard in either happy or sad tones, and from the young or the elders.
We have long abandoned this place, but it is not true as to these little yellow flowers. Both of them never catch the eye of the passers-by, but this place is now a paradise of the later.
Rainfields very poetic but as an aging train spotter I have some burning questions.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the abandoned line?
Is it on Penang?
beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteloshini
The pictures are simple and pretty...the description is lovely.
ReplyDeleteFunny coincidence: yesterday I took a picture of some flowers at train station, too. Mine are blue, but I don't know their name.
these flowers are common and can be found almost everywhere and are often ignored.

ReplyDeletenameless but indeed pretty
ReplyDeleteyou are correct, actually the flower is in paradise since no one will harm her :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that the rail line has been abandoned, but it is a great place for these pretty yellow flowers to bloom and show off. I'm glad you spotted them.
ReplyDeletesometimes, we find the most common and mundane of things are the most beautiful when shown to us in different light and perspective...i so love those old tracks with weeds growing on it...simply beautiful

ReplyDeleteThese are some of my favorite pictures from you because I really like places like this. I always wanted to do some like this too, but I don't live very close to any railroads anymore. This is the same condition most of our railroads are in here. They're becoming a thing of the past.
ReplyDeleteI like the changes you've made to your blog layout.
Uih? Cerok tokun has a railway?
ReplyDeleteYou notice interesting things that we usually ignore.
ReplyDeleteLove your new theme too.
Mike:
ReplyDeleteOh, this abandoned line is found at Bukit Mertajam, the next station after Butterworth, Penang.
Loshini:
Thank you very much.
Frieda:
The world is always full of coincidence. We may meet each other somewhere sometime just by coincidence. Who know?
Life Ramblings:
We have long ignored many things. We will be delighted if are able to pick up one or two.

And this is my loud Hellllllloooooo to you.
Ratty:
This is just a break from my Cerok Tokun hike. I took all these pictures while my son was waiting for the train to Singapore.
Willie:
Once upon a time, there was a railway that started from Cerok Tokun and led the passengers to the Paradise. But most of us are now too bad to be eligible for the trip, it was abandoned.
Kirigalpoththa:
I am able to notice them because I wear a pair of spectacles.
Innocent little flowers thriving at the abandoned railway station. They are nameless, know nothing and want nothing, but are happy... what could be more beautiful?
ReplyDeleteShe is in her own little world, confident and strong and away from the distractions that could harm her. Beautifully done, Rainfield.
ReplyDeleteAs the saying goes "its the little things in life" and that is how I look at the little flowers.
ReplyDeleteOh..no!..I am nameless?
ReplyDeleteI'm Coat Button grass flowers - (Tridax procumbens)
Life is growing back into this abandoned railroad.
ReplyDeleteWow.. you've changed the theme! Looks really nice and refreshing.. esp. all this greens. =D
ReplyDeleteThe 1st pic is really unique. We've got an abandoned track here too running parallel to the working ones in our village. And these lil flowers, they remind me of the ones we had at school and we'd pop their heads off to see if they were male or female. lol Some would jump an inch or two high while others would slide and tumble down.
These are so ordinary things but from a different perspective they look quite refreshing. A place where life and the lifeless coexist.
i never knew the name for that flower and i used to play with it when i was a kid....i flick it to hit my playmates! lol...sorry naughty me
