Mushrooms whose pictures I was taking led me to a new photo opportunity. From the corner of my eye, at the edge of a rock, I saw a rare exoskeleton of a scorpion.
These mushrooms were more than a mushroom this time. Invisibly, they bridged me and the scorpion.
But not a sky bridge, it was accidentally exposed for minutes. I wondered whom it would bring together, as this time was not the time for Niulang and Zhinu to meet each other, otherwise Goggle must have updated me.
There are countless bridges around. We cross them day in and day out. We never know.
Pretty mushroom, pretty Scorpian.

ReplyDeletewe have small scorpions here. i like your 'accidental' skybridge. :)
ReplyDeleteThe mushrooms are so pretty with their white edging. The scorpion exoskeleton is a really neat image.
ReplyDeletei like the white edging outlining that mushroom!!!!
ReplyDeleteOr maybe lovers stand on both sides of the bridge on the third picture. :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you linked to the article about the Qixi Festival, because I loved reading the legend. (My favorite part was that she escaped from boring heaven to look for some fun. Perfection maybe wouldn't be so interesting after all!)
ReplyDeleteI'm going back to read that article more carefully, but I didn't want to get sucked into the Internet and forget to comment on your post. I loved your photography as always. The jungle is full of wonders.
Your photography is always....well....amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG what a find. Love the shot of the mushrooms and glad the scorpion was just a skeleton.

ReplyDeleteVery special to see a skeleton of a scorpion. This would expect in the desert, not in the forest !!
The bridge is a different story. We never know about what we need to bridge.
Beautiful mushrooms, Scorpion I do not like :)))
ReplyDeleteA hug.
I love bridges that bring us to see we may have failed to see without the bridge. As alwTs, gorgeous photos
ReplyDeleteThe white edges of the bracket fungi make such a lacy pattern, very lovely. Perhaps the scorpion liked to perch there looking for dinner. Perhaps it amused the fungi with tales of far off places they had never seen, being stuck in one place.
ReplyDeleteunexpected scorpion discovery)))
