Taking pictures of mushrooms at Cerok Tokun is not an easy task, even though I do this repeatedly.
You see, I have to made quick and decisive shots, before mosquitoes detect my body heat and breath and start an attack, or in another way, spending time squatting by the narrow trail may turn out “suddenly” seeing hikers gathering beside me in the end. They always wait and give me a smile.
It is not a real fun: I too, besides mushrooms, am the hottest topics of the day.
Damn those mosquitos. Brilliant photos.

I'm glad you persevere in spite of those nasty mosquitoes. Your photos of the mushroom are beautiful as always, but I have never seen your picture on Facebook. I am glad, however, that the other hikers are polite enough to wait until you get your photos.

ReplyDeleteI hate mosquitos. I used to tell our kids that bites were just a part of enjoying the outdoors (like the thorns on the roses) -- but back then mosquitos were just an annoyance (or so we thought)...nowadays we learn of so many more diseases borne by them. Use your spray Rainfield!!!
ReplyDeletehehe, the trials and tribulations of being a photographer!!
ReplyDeleteOh hello, Rainfield! as usual your favourite topic is forest & its nature... great photos! )))
