Trees, and A Boy

I wonder how similar they are to us, if trees go networking, make me laugh, and drive me paranoid.

(We share 60% of our DNA with a banana; an evidence of shared ancestry).

I take their pictures. One of them mimicked Scooby-Doo, and turned its face red. It even tried to play Freddy Krueger.

(A simple potato is more complex than us; it has 48 chromosome counts, whereas we have only 46).

I had once, in an aura of mystery, discovered the Wonderland of Alice in the woods.

(There was a tree, The Giving Tree, and a boy).

  2. One day, a monkey.
Next day a tree (and boy)...
Banana talks to me. Each day as I swalloe one, I hear it saying, "HELLLLP". Looking to see who is listening--it is only me. So I say "Too late, Cheeeta!"

I like your stats on our relationships with all else...and why NOT? If the Universe is ONE...well, what a big deal if a banana "talks"? Hmmmm.

It IS getting deep in here.

    REALY LOVE pics and perspectives.

  8. I'd be happy to know I share DNA with the trees. Wouldn't want to claim the potato. But do I have a choice?

That shared DNA thing -- I read a little about it, understand even less, but I do know that it is NOT fun any more to look at apes and monkeys in the zoo. Something I used to enjoy. But no more.

Still I eat bananas though, so you see that my understanding is limited.

  15. Trees can tell us so much. Much of it comes from our own minds. They tell me we can be banana people.

  24. There's some evidence that suggests trees DO indeed network. True. If one is attacked by an insect, others nearby will try to protect themselves. I'm not a scientist so I haven't a clue as to how they do it.
