Most of the time, I am never normal, I build up illusion. And things got worse recently: I thought of shoes while looking at a hoverfly.
People have been very wary and worry since a long time ago. They wear shoes, as their feet quarrelled with the ground once upon a time. They are cautious until today.
The quarrel could be due to a Athlete's foot. A hoverfly does not have this to spread to the ground. It is then always confident to move around, barefoot.
And since then, people face problems with shoes that a hoverfly will never have. It waste no time to choose which high heels to fly with, which boots to party with, and which sneakers are best for an outdoor activity.
And new problems arise, because of hammer toes, claw toes, mallet toes, or trigger toes. People look for arch support, people look for foot care.
I heard the hoverfly laughing, "Why started the quarrel in the first place?"
This had me never be normal again.
Haha.. people go for pedicure as well but even after too much of care feet are always vulnerable. They ned the best every time. You think out of the box. Cute pics , it appears as if the hoverfly is born with shades
ReplyDeletei have a farmer's feet, i need foot care. :)
ReplyDeleteyou are fast becoming a pro in macro photography! superb shots of the hoverfly!
ReplyDeleteYou had me laughing with all those feet problems..My hover flies are too busy to care about shoes either! They rather produce than thinking about what to wear..
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it is a gymnast practising on the bar. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteKind of looks like he's playing a piano in the second one. :)
ReplyDeleteHeh heh..this was too funny!! Oh I love these close ups! I think I can relate..thanks for the shot in the arm this morning..just what I needed!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen such an isect before.

Now I'm envious of the hoverfly which never has the foot problems I have. Unfortunately I must wear shoes most of the time when I'm outside. My feet must have had a big quarrel with the ground.
ReplyDeleteYour macros of the hoverfly are marvelous.
I wish I could be a hoverfly and had feet that did not hurt. Wonderful photos, Rainfield. Ihope you are having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNice macro.superb shots of the hover fly!
ReplyDeleteyou silly... hahaha you cracked me up again. speaking of shoes... you touch a very sensitive issues. yes, i am a shoe-girl. so love them - for reasons that i don't know or care whether they hurt my toes, calves, ankles and knees.
ReplyDeleteIn New Zealand, many people don't wear shoes. Their shoe size is bugger than others.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a SAN BA LO, he has size 13 shoes.
oh you just reminded me, i bought nail polish for my toenails :) haha, anyway, love your post, you made my day :)
ReplyDeleteHover flies save lots of time and money too for not having to go shoe shopping.
ReplyDeleteYou are hilarious, Rainfield. I always mis take a hover fly for a bee.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots of the insects :)
ReplyDeleteI have to confess that I am quite crazy about shoes (I have lots of them...)
Cute macro and the article makes me laugh. We human always solve one problem with a solution that create many other problems...:-)
ReplyDeleteIf hoverfly wears shoes who could have been the cobbler? Spider or the ant? Nice pixz of the fly.
ReplyDeleteThe hoverfly would need several pairs, while you only need one at a time. Bare feet are nice, but high arches mean shoes are preferred.
ReplyDeleteFlying barefoot through the air would definitely be best!
ReplyDeleteGood captures of the dragonfly...
ReplyDeleteTheir heads look like taugeh (bean sprout) head, with brown seed cover. I'm sure the dragongly saw many many faces of you through it's compound eyes. Did you make faces at it?
ReplyDeleteIs it a baby dragonfly?
ReplyDeleteThank You very much for so beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I'd love to have a foot massage.
ReplyDeletePerfect pictures, you old rogue, you!
