What did I chirp in reply to a bird last Sunday morning? I told I came from Cerok Tokun Hill, some 34km away with Penang Bridge in between. Arriving there without a strong pair of wings sure was a problem.
The conversation never escaped the ears of Penang Hill. "I see, you called that girl Cerok Tokun Hill.”
A tunnel next to Penang Hill Railway top station.
This big brother took a pause while rubbing my shoulders with some tall grasses, and continued, “It is hazy right now. I’ll date her later.”
And its words lingered in the air, within the trees, when breeze passing. The girl might have already overheard that,
.
for the words have left a tunnel.
i like that 'arriving there without a strong pair of wings was a problem.' :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love that shot of the tunnel! I'm sure glad that you've reached your designated area without growing wings :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful view from the top!
ReplyDeletewow, u did it!
ReplyDeleteYou got a good view from the top of Penang Hill, even if it was hazy. I like your picture of the railroad tunnel.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading all you post on hiking, I am sure you arrive with no problems. Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteWe now have something in common. I've been to Penang Hill too although I took the funicular car to the top. A very memorable view.
ReplyDeleteWhat a view, WoW! That railroad tunnel is very cool, I love that shot. As always, your journeys inspire me :)
ReplyDeletebridges and tunnels are among my favorite constructions- and very important for those of us without wings
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic photos! A beautiful view and the tunnel is just too cool! You must of been exhausted not having a strong pair of wings! Well, I had to enlarge my page xx because I couldn't enlarge the pictures (sigh)..the words may be echoing in that tunnel....
ReplyDeleteWikipedia states it "...is a leisurely hike of 2-3 hours..." up the road to the top, with two "rest stops" along the way.
ReplyDeleteFor THIS oldie, anything--ANYTHING which lasts 2-3 hour does NOT fall into the classification of 'leisurely'--grin!
With or without wings, I am sure you had a great day. Malaysia sounds like a well-run country. I'll read more about it...
Thanks! PEACE!
OH! And F I N E photos that put us right there!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the tunnel is great. I would love to have two such wonderful hills to climb.
ReplyDeletei smiled after reading your "arriving there without a strong of pair of wings was a problem", sure it's pretty amazing to get bird's eye view, only that we work so much harder than the birds to get to see what they can see.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I can keep up with you hiking even if I have a pair of wings ;-).
ReplyDeleteI agree with these comments!
ReplyDeleteomg it has been 43 yrs since i climbed penang hill. how time has passed by
ReplyDeletehaha i am not very fond of tunnels and bridges! But i am glad you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteLeontien
Lovely view from the top, Rainy! :)
ReplyDeleteYou would look quite interesting, I think, with wings..and I imagine there'd be no keeping you at home if you had them. You might even come visit me in San Francisco!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed being taken on the trip with you. Very nice pictures.
