The bulbul did a few landing tests, as I continued to stay, to ensure nothing stupid would happen if I was an evil.
How lucky I was for not being an evil. I found the bird perched on a bird’s-nest fern, disappeared within seconds, only reappeared and flew away fifteen minutes later.
I was still not an evil, though going for a peek with a ladder. There was a nest hidden within the leaves, and one of the two eggs had already been successfully hatched. What a new life in the New Year.
I had then spent three hours with my feathered friends; it really needs time to discover what really matters.
Congrats on your New Year's babies! Its a good omen for the rest of the year!
ReplyDeleteI see the little birdie's body with its head tucked inside the egg shell? Wow..you must have gotten quite close to the nest.

ReplyDeleteWow..the first looks like a painting. Is the birds nest your referring to a big fern that's found on top of trees in forested areas too? Amazing you caught these.. birds are fast. What nice captures for the New Year~

Don't spend too much time with the young ones. They might just call you 'Mama'. Then you have to start digging up worms, chew them and regurgitate them for the hungry babies.

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty bird you are courting! The little baby looks so scrawny at birth, minus its feathers. Good thing it is very warm in your country.
