Following the bees was not an easy task since they made me too busy as well and having the need to fly around, but they did lead me to some wonderful places and show me some fantastic poses.
Sometimes, it showed the funniest posture that can never explain its name quite precisely. We met face-to-face, it looked strange to me, and how am I to him?
I had another question still unanswered. They flew from one flower to another, and back to former again, left, and came back, and was continued. Why can't they stay for the same flower until the job was done?
I met a brown caterpillar over here. This was visible, many were not, and I do not mean only caterpillars.
Many others were still hiding in the bushes, or in the forest.

After reading your post, I did some investigation. A female bee has something called "pollen basket". Maybe it's full and she has to go back to get some more to continue the cross pollination??? To the bee, you must be a giant with a big eye. :)
ReplyDeleteNow you have a great Insect in flight, after that stunning shrike.
ReplyDeleteRainfields I can see you have been practicing too!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots that capture the moment.
Perseverance with your Canon gear is reaping rewards.
Some great insect pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great pictures of these guys. I especially like those two with them in the air.
ReplyDeleteUh..i guess the bees were surveying or mapping the flowers so that it will be easier for them to revisit the flowers.
ReplyDeletethe second photo is awesomeness!
ReplyDeleteyea agree
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captured of flying bee!
ReplyDeleteAVCr8teur: What a complementary work from you. We have the same giant eyes peeking at the bees.
ReplyDeleteTabib: I am greedy, I want more. lol.
Mike: I read and practice, and derive maximum fun. I am now following your photo blog, to get some update on your progress.
Kirigalpoththa: Some insect pictures from their friend.
Ratty: I have to follow them for these photo. Perseverance and patience is reaping rewards.
Willie: You maybe right. Let me check it out on my next trip.
Cher/TT/Icy BC: Thanksssssssss.
the second picture is simply amazing, the bees in flight! You are such a very patient and keen person.
ReplyDeleteah, the forest nurtures and displays its creatures, big or small, to those patient enough to know where to look!

It is not easy to shoot insect or bird on the fly. One of the winner in Canon photomarathon this year Singapore managed to captured the bee close up facing the camera in the high speed.
ReplyDeleteYou got a great picture of the bee looking at you. Do you think he got a picture of you looking at him?
ReplyDeleteSalitype: I have to be patient on the hiking before the peak, I have to be patient before the bees say goodbye to me. Just be patient.
ReplyDeleteVanillaSeven: I wish I could have a micro lens in future for my better close up pictures.
George: Their little brains must have recorded down my face. They will say hello to me when I rturn.
I have never thought of following the bees. I normally stay away when I see one. Don't want to get stung.
ReplyDeletePhotographing a bee in a flower would be a bonus though. But that would be hard as the creature is never still...always buzzing around.
Very small bees, much smaller than ours. great photo of a flying bee.
ReplyDeleteoh WoW...just fantastic shot...so well timed....lovely!
ReplyDeleteMei Teng: It is not always too dangerous to follow a bee as long as we never disturb it. Photography a bee in distance is interesting.
ReplyDeleteGlennis: It maybe much smaller than you would have thought. lol.
flyingstars: Shooting a flying creature is a challenge but also a fruitful reward at the end.
oh WoW...just fantastic shot...so well timed....lovely!
great macro shots rain, i got some photos with the bees in the flowers
ReplyDeletepatience, and waiting... are just some of the things i've learned from travelling.
you got to be careful when bees are around. i have been stung a few times.
ReplyDeleteI'm OK with following THEM, but not with them following ME. I got stung three times the last time I cut my grass!
ReplyDeleteThese tiny pretty flowers attract many bees and tiny butterflies. Most of the time, we walk by and missed them. The beauty of the camera is that it helps us capture these little moments in time, to be admired later in life.
ReplyDeletewow! you captured the action and the flight so well!!
